Platteville Recreation offers basketball for kids Kindergarten through 6th grade, K-2 Basketball League and NVAA Basketball for 3rd-6th grade participants. These programs are designed to promote good sportsmanship, teamwork while teaching the rules and fundamentals of the game of basketball.  Through this program your child should be: developing the skills needed to play, learning the basic rules of the game, creating friendships, and most importantly having fun! Scholarships are available to help those in need of assistance. Click here for a scholarship form.  Please note on your child’s registration if you have particular days and times that they cannot practice. Player/coach requests are welcome but cannot be guaranteed.

Practices will begin the week of October 24th. Practice days and times are determined by the coach's availability. Practices are held twice a week for an hour to an hour  at Platteville Elementary School.

Games begin on November 5th and are held at the Evans Community Center. All games times will be between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

2022 3rd-6th Grade NVAA Basketball - REGISTER HERE
NVAA Basketball is open to boys and girls in grades 3-6.
Practices will be held for one hour twice a week at Platteville Elementary School or South Valley Middle School in the evenings. Teams will be divided by gender and grade. In the event that we don’t have enough players from one age group we may combine 2 grades to form 1 team and will play in the higher age division. Practice days and times are determined based on the coach’s availability.

Practices will start the week of January 9th
First Game: January 21st

As with all youth sports we are dependent on volunteers for coaches. If you are interested in coaching be sure to fill out the coaches application on your account. Please contact the recreation staff to put in your practice day/time requests.

Fall Flag Football - 2023 Fall - REGISTER HERE
2023 Fall Flag Football Join us this fall for our 2023 Flag Football Season! Platteville Rec will be playing in a league with LaSalle and Kersey this year just like with T-ball and Coach pitch. We are offering 7u and 9u age groups with the cutoff date being 8/14/2023. Flag football is a great way for the little ones to start to develop their skills and learn plays. We will follow the NFL Flag Football rules. 5v5 all age groups 30yd x 70yd fields 10yd endzones 7u must be 7 or under by 8/14/2023 9u must be 9 or under by 8/14/2023 Early bird registration: 5/22/2023 - 6/5/2023 $65 Regular registration: 6/6/2023 - 7/23/2023 $75 Late registration: Runs through 7/28/2023 IF SPACE IS AVAILABLE $85 Practice starts 8/14 Games start 8/26

Tri Valley Little Ballers- Soccer League - 2023 Fall - REGISTER HERE
2023 Tri Valley Little Ballers -Soccer League Join us this fall for our 2023 Tot soccer season! Platteville Rec will be playing in a league with LaSalle and Kersey this year just like with T-ball and Coach pitch. We are offering U6 and U8 age groups with the cutoff date being 8/14/2023. NVAA Fall Volleyball The NVAA Volleyball program is designed to teach kids sportsmanship and teamwork and allows kids to play in a slightly more competitive realm. Through this program your child should be: developing the skills needed to play, learning the basic rules of the game, creating everlasting friendships, and most importantly having fun! 7th/8th Grade Fall Volleyball - Carbon Valley League Platteville Recreation is offering fall volleyball for 7th and 8th graders this year! We will be playing in Carbon Valley's house league. This will be a great opportunity for our older players to get some play time in the Fall.
