Basketball
Platteville Recreation offers basketball for kids Pre-k - through 6th grade, K-2 Basketball League and NVAA Basketball for 3rd-6th grade participants. These programs are designed to promote good sportsmanship, teamwork while teaching the rules and fundamentals of the game of basketball. Through this program your child should be: developing the skills needed to play, learning the basic rules of the game, creating friendships, and most importantly having fun! Scholarships are available to help those in need of assistance. Click here for a scholarship form. Please note on your child’s registration if you have particular days and times that they cannot practice. Player/coach requests are welcome but cannot be guaranteed.

NVAA Basketball

Join us this winter for boys and girls NVAA Basketball. We will be offering basketball for grades 3-6 starting on 1/8/2024. A new 2024 Platteville Recreation issued jersey will be included in your registration fees and will be used for sports throughout 2024. (Baseball and Softball excluded)

Early Bird Registration- $65 10/7-10/21

Regular Registration - $75 10/21-12/5

Late Registration - $85 12/5 - 12/9 IF POSITIONS AVAILABLE

As with all youth sports we are dependent on volunteers for coaches. If you are interested in coaching be sure to fill out the coaches application on your account. Please contact the recreation staff to put in your practice day/time requests.

Whether you're stepping onto the diamond for the first time or you're a seasoned player, this league is your chance to improve your skills, make friends, and have a great time playing softball in a fun, supportive environment. We’ve got teams for every age group, so there’s a place for everyone: 8u (Ages 7-8) 10u (Ages 9-10) 12u (Ages 11-12) 14u (Ages 13-14) 18u (Ages 15-18) (Ages are determined as of January 1, 2026.) 2026 Boys Baseball League Join us for an exciting season of baseball in our 2026 Boys Baseball League! We offer teams for three age groups: 10u, 12u, and 14u. This league is all about fun and fundamentals, where players will learn teamwork, sportsmanship, and the basics of the game.
